March Favourites

I'm always nervous to try a new cleanser... I've been using the same one for two years but I was in The Face Shop and had heard good things about their Chia Seed line. For $15CAD, I thought, why not!

The Face Shop website says: "This fresh cleansing foam deeply cleanses the pores. Its mild formula moisturizes the skin while removing impurities. Purified skin remains soft to the touch with a healthy glow!"

That is definitely true! I use this cleanser with my Clarisonic and man, is it foamy! A little bit goes a long way. I do find that my skin has that *super clean* feeling after, which a lot of people love but makes me worry that it's cleaning away excess makeup as well as any natural oils. I definitely make sure to use my nighttime moisturizer or oil afterwards.

Overall, I've noticed my skin is super bright and even! I do have redness in my cheeks and discolouration from *ahem* picking at spots and I've found those issues to be much less.

For less than $10CAD, this could be your new everyday foundation! It has great buildable coverage with a semi-matte finish. Plus, I love the applicator - it's a flat, almost spatula-like wand that is easy to apply product to that back of your hand or directly to your skin.

The Wet n Wild website says: "Your skin, only better. Our new high-performing, skin-perfecting foundation underwent major road testing under seven different photo lighting conditions to deliver flawless camera-ready makeup every time. Specially made with a matte, light-diffusing complex to give your skin #nofilter perfection. High-performing, breakthrough formula. Featuring light-adjusting complex to help prevent white cast in photos. Tested under 7 light conditions with and without the use of flash"

I have to say, they nailed it with this one. It's easy to blend, lasts all day, and gives you a flawless complexion!

This is my second Morphe palette and I love the range of colours! You can't beat 35 shadows in one palette. Morphe has come a long way over the years and it's evident that they've been working hard to perfect their shadow formulas. These shadows are so easy to blend!

The Morphe website says: "Bring the regal look of gold to everyday life with buttery, rich, pigmented shadows in 35 shades of standout color. The mix of mattes and shimmers that range from dark chocolate to café au lait are crowned with standout metallic shades of polished copper and true gold."

I do like the colour scheme. Only downside, these tones can come off quite orange on some skin tones. That being said, orange is in! I love the mix of shimmers and mattes and how each matte has an almost-identical shimmer.

These palettes are perfect for everyday wear. Any colour combination will work making this one of the most versatile palettes in your collection!

The Shiseido Ibuki line is good for all skin types and is super light weight but ultra moisturizing! I'm loving this Smart Filtering Smoother for my no-makeup days. I struggle with large pores, especially around my nose, and this product blurs any and all pores and fine lines. It has a matte, velvet finish which I love on my naked skin.

The Smart Filtering Smoother is a real life Instagram filter - "This game-changing formula acts like a smart filter with a skin blurring effect. The velvety, lightweight texture immediately absorbs excess sebum from skin’s surface for a matte look. Visible pores become less noticeable, and it’s perfect for use anytime over makeup for a fresh, matte look or as the last step of your skincare routine."

Did you know Ibuki means "inner strength" in Japanese? This line helps strengthen skin's resistance while improving imperfections, dryness, and roughness! Shout out to Influenster for sending this to me to try out!
